BMR, a gem of the plant engineering industry

30 March 2012 | Press Review

— SCANDIANO—

BMR, a gem of the plant engineering industry, achieves double-figure results.

BMR, a leading company, from Scandiano, in end-of-line technologies for the production of ceramic tiles and a feather in the cap of Italian plant engineering, wins success despite times of global crisis.     The company directed by Paolo Sassi – employing 65 staff members distributed between Scandiano and Schio – ends 2010 with a turnover in excess of 20 million euro; a growth of 8.7% compared with 2009.    This trend seems to be confirmed for 2011 too: a rise of 45% in turnover was recorded over the first four months and without resorting to social security systems to cushion financial shocks.             BMR’s reference customers include major Italian and international tile manufacturing groups, especially in Russia, Brazil and the Far East; in fact, until now, the Far East was almost exclusively taken by Chinese competitors, so this proves the technological primacy of the Italian company.     «We are delighted with the results obtained, Mr. Sassi explained, chairman and majority shareholder of Bmr; they reward and confirm the efforts made so far by our team.    We challenged the undeniable difficulties of present times with cautious farsightedness, without ever losing sight of our added value, being that of offering a completely made-in-Italy technology, which has enabled us to maintain our consolidated markets but also to penetrate new ones. Our machines effectively meet the various demands of the market, which seem to prefer lapped tiles in Europe, whereas other foreign markets and those of the Far East prefer honed tiles. A very slight come-back has been noticed from Spain too and this makes us feel even more positive».
