Top Squadra Dry and Supershine, BMR’s winning cards at Tecnargilla International success for the BMR innovations presented at Rimini for the finishing
and surface treatment of porcelain stoneware Scandiano, October 2016 – A positive outcome from BMR’s participation at Tecnargilla 2016.
From 26 to 30 September, the international trade fair for ceramics industry machinery and equipment set the stage for the Made in Italy technologies of BMR, the Scandiano-based company that has been the leader in the production of end-of-line technologies for over 40 years.
BMR’s cutting-edge technological solutions and processes intrigued and aroused the interest of the many increasingly knowledgeable and demanding visitors from all over the world who showed particular interest in the innovations presented.
One of the innovations was Supershine, the BMR technology that produces a gloss surface on sizes of up to 1600×3800 mm. It provides a solution to the micro-porosity of enamels by treating the surfaces during the ceramic production process. The first seven of the ten planetary heads that make up the Supershine system, distribute a water-based silica solution over the dry ceramic surfaces, sealing the pores with a polishing action. The last three
planetary heads clean the tile before the qualitative inspection of the surfaces is carried out.
This process gives the tile considerable added value in terms of functionality and aesthetics.
As well as making it exceptionally easy to clean and resistant to dirt from foot traffic, it also protects it against acids and all organic substances, without forgetting the fact that it increases productivity compared to conventional application systems.
BMR also presented Top Squadra Dry, the dry-squaring machine with 12 calibrating units for each edge of the tile. The installation of inverters on some of the calibrators, which optimize
