New installations and production lines confirm the makeover of Gold Art who chooses BMR as an elite partner for end-of-line processes.
The innovation of dry technology in finishing processes applied to large sizes places BMR among the main partners in the ceramic sector for installation quality and for a guarantee of the finished product.
Gold Art dealt with its own makeover by entrusting the Scandiano company with the preparation and supply of 2 lines for squaring and dry cutting and 1 finishing line for the lapping of panels, comprising 2 Leviga1600/12A Maxi, 1 Acid treatment with 2 Satellite applicators and 2 brushing machines Brush 3T SAT 1600 BRANDEG., all suitable for processing panels up to 1600×3200 mm.
The latest generation plant was installed inside the new 22,000 sq. m. warehouse built at its Pavullo sul Frignano (MO) site where it is expected to reach a 20% increase in productivity, split between approximately 12,000 sq. m. of 60×60 cm porcelain stoneware tiles and 5,000 sq. m./day of large slabs.
BMR’s contribution was instrumental in accompanying a 360-degree change in Gold Art, starting with a new corporate mindset approach aimed at enhancing the finished product through an improvement in the production process. The collaboration with the Scandiano mechanical-ceramic company, already established in 2015 with the purchase of a first squaring line for sizes up to 1200 mm and continued in 2017 with a second line for sizes that reach a maximum of 1800 mm, saw the consolidation of a trust linked to the constant investment and upgrading by BMR in 2018, always attentive to the customer in offering a production, service but also advice quality on the complete process.
And it is precisely in the production process that BMR has invested in the last few years, looking at the evolution of a technology that was a guarantee not just of end-of-line working, but that was able to support ceramic entrepreneurs in the development of the most futuristic trends.
BMR was founded almost 50 years ago in the Emilia-Romagna township and quickly and successfully joined the end-of-line segment for the ceramic sector. A pioneer in the lapping process, it soon tackled the squaring technology and gave the tile an unexpected improvement: in fact, what was considered an already finished product, acquires a further improvement in terms of uniformity and certainty of a unique standing and makes the whole production range highly competitive.
BMR made a further step forward in 2009 with the innovative “dry” technology: thanks to the elimination of water, in addition to safeguarding the natural resource, it was possible to eliminate the tile’s drying and desiccation processes, water purification and sludge disposal. The result achieved was environmental protection, but also a simplification of the plant engineering and economic savings, also due to a longer life span of spare parts and therefore the life of the entire line. Thanks to the collaboration of BMR with the Department of Chemical and Geological Sciences of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, with dry squaring it is also possible today to recover copious quantities of powders and recycle them as raw material in formulating the mix.
The large sizes and technology for industry 4.0 are the latest challenges that BMR has faced with determination and success, setting itself once again as an example of a forward-looking industry. In fact, if today the large ceramic surfaces are the subject of a growing interest by designers and architects, this is due to the innovation of technological processes and, above all, to the finishing and surface treatment of the material, responsible more than others of the product’s final aesthetic result. BMR has therefore been able to identify this need and evolve its lines in order to support panel processing with sizes up to 1600×3200 mm.
Gold Art has taken the most advanced aspects of BMR systems and has made the most of the technology to achieve optimized and effective production of its products, where high flexibility makes it possible to meet the needs of modular sizes and thicknesses and the use of a green oriented technology guarantees environmental protection and energy and economic savings. This upgrade places the company in Pavullo sul Frignano (MO) among the international ceramic panel players, that are protagonists of the upcoming Cersaie 2018 at the Gold Art-Energie Ker stand, ready to present an attractive and competitive range to the main international markets.
